Broadstairs & St Peter’s Bowls Club is set in the heart of Broadstairs and is open to both genders, all ethnicities and both able bodied and people with disabilities.
Our outdoor season generally runs from late April through to late September, and indoor Short Mat in the winter months. Throughout the summer there are always competitions being played daily. On a Monday morning we have league teams practicing, along with a regular Roll Up. These practice sessions are extremely popular and have served to improve our players skills and ability. Come September, we host our annual Tournament, bringing players from all over the country to compete for the trophies.
There is a Sunday Social throughout the winter months, which gives members an opportunity to keep in touch over a pint of beer and some roast potatoes, play a game of cards, darts or table tennis or just sit and catch up. Thursday afternoons we run a Tea Dance in order for our members to stay fit and active and a chance to socialise when the season is over.
We have a very active social side with major events held every 6 weeks. Eg, Abba Tribute bands, Cockney nights and Big Bands.
Rehearsals begin after the season for our annual show so as you can see, we certainly utilise our club to the maximum, keep our members active and young at heart.

About us
Here in Broadstairs we have so much to offer.
Our facilities are second to none, boasting two greens of a very high standard, and a wonderful old club house filled with memories of past Officers and Champions..
We are so proud of our club, and have been delivering excellent bowling conditions and a warm welcome to all for over a hundred years.
We (the caretakers of this wonderful old club) all have an equal share in the upkeep, funding and maintenance daily, and each and every one of us are proud to say we belong to Broadstairs & St Peter’s Bowls Clubs rich history.
We pledge to do all we can to sustain our standards of excellence, so our club can survive for another hundred years or more.
Every time I walk through the gates and look across at our lush green lawns I feel so proud to be an integral part of the great machinery that churns daily to a steady rhythm, that has a unique atmosphere all of its own, and many times visiting teams have spoken about the magic of Broadstairs & St Peter’s Bowls Club.
In my humble opinion I can’t think of anywhere I’d rather be when the suns shining, and if you are reading this and haven’t yet experienced all we have to offer, why not come along and give us a try.
We have qualified coaches to help you learn to bowl, while offering everything you will need to get you started.
If you have never played before don’t let that worry you, we all began at some time.
We have players of mixed abilities, from the novice to our County players. You can play to a very high standard playing at National and County level, League games, in house Competitions, friendly matches, Short Mat, or simply come along and practice with a roll up, the choice is yours.
Along with challenging yourself, playing as a team and keeping fit, you will also find very quickly you have a whole host of new friends.
So what are you waiting for, we have players from 10 to 95, so remember you’re never too young and you’re never too old.
I look forward to meeting you soon.
The President.

OPEN DAYS
We are constantly striving to raise the profile of our club in as many ways as possible. Therefore every year we open our gates to the general public for them to come along and see what we have to offer.
There are many I’m sure who would love to just have a go without commitment, well thats what we offer on our Open Days.
It’s an opportunity to wander around, chat to our members, learn a little bit about us and maybe over a cup of tea and some cake discuss the possibility of joining us. We can give you everything you need to get you started from shoes bowls and tuition.
These Open days are very popular and many of our members and associate members joined in this way.
